PODCAST USB — Windows desktop — v0.7.0

INSTALL (64-bit Windows 10 / 11)
1. Extract the entire ZIP into a writable folder, for example Documents\Podcast USB.
2. Open Podcast USB.exe. Keep all the extracted files together.
3. First launch installs its local Python and FFmpeg tools and checks WebView2.
An internet connection is required for setup. You do not need iTunes, VLC,
Audacity or a separate Python installation.
4. Search for a podcast, or use + Add RSS feed. No shows or accounts are bundled.
For subscriber podcasts, paste your own private RSS link from the creator.
5. Choose your USB folder, date window and shows. Find episodes and review.
6. Tick episodes to DOWNLOAD. Existing USB files start ticked to DELETE;
untick any existing files you want to KEEP.
Review title previews, then choose Prepare & update USB at the bottom.
7. Wait for USB ready, then use Windows Safely remove hardware.

Audio preparation finishes on your PC before the USB transaction begins.
MP3 audio is retained; non-MP3 sources are converted. Safety Third's main and
matching extra are joined automatically. Title filters and cleanup are per-show.

UPDATING
Versions before 0.7: close the app and replace the program files once, keeping
runtime and tools. After that, the app checks hasbreo.com on startup and can
automatically download verified updates, install while idle, and restart.
Settings > App updates offers notification-only/manual modes and a Later button.
Your subscriptions, history, runtime, tools and USB files are preserved.

OPTIONAL LENGTH IN TITLES
Settings > Episode titles enables 01 - 00:30 - Title (hours:minutes, no seconds).
Each show can override this setting. Feed durations preview the name; actual
audio is measured before final naming. Windows filenames use 00-30, since
Windows does not allow colons. Cleanup, manual titles and numbering still apply.

WINDOWS SMARTSCREEN
This app is unsigned. Windows may show Unknown publisher or an unrecognised-app
warning for a new release. Verify that the file came from hasbreo.com and compare
its SHA-256 checksum if needed. Choose Run anyway only if you trust this copy.

PRIVACY
The app runs locally. Podcast searches go to Apple's directory. It reads feeds
and downloads media/artwork from their hosts. Your RSS links, especially private
subscriber links, stay in your local settings. No Hasbreo account is required.
Do not share your local settings or a subscriber feed URL publicly.
